Anybody that uses step bits daily knows that these are the ones you use for heavy duty drilling, because they are good enough for the job.

So far I have used these to drill into a bunch of aluminum and a little bit of really thin steel. Worked well. The finish is starting to wear off but they still bore through fine. Again I would only look for great results with thin or softer metals.
