Customer Reviews
8 reviewsGreat Microwave Chip maker! Fits about 2 small potatoes sliced up, and the microwaving time varies, depending on the size of the potato. Love this tray and the yummy chips I make with it!
I did Russet potato chips and they came out perfect. A great crunch with no oil. Next I am going to try sweet potato and maybe zucchini.
I saw this on a kitchen gadget review, then tried to make chips on a plate in the microwave and it worked so I went ahead and bought this, we love it, it really does work, no oil, and they have more of a potato flavor than normal chips. I haven't tried it with sweet potatoes but normal ones and yukon gold potatoes work great, I wash the starch off after slicing, then salt before nuking, haven't tried flavors yet. the cook times take longer than listed on the box but it varies depending on how full it is, how big the slices are etc. round slices work better I think than oval ones as they stay in the tray better.
It works just like I thought it would but I don't use it for potatoes just flour and corn tortillas. The slicer is worthless I tried it but makes slices way to thin slices fall thru the slots in the ring.
It's easy to use and the potatoes come out crispy. I used sweet potatoes as well.
