At first, I thought this was a mistake. Using an HDMI cable that had been included with another purchase I could not get it to work right. Had the erratic connection.Fixed.Now Bought new HDMI cable here on Amazon. All is well.Connected to MacBook 2016..........then power cord, HDMI, WD 3tb hard drive.MacBook charges, AV signally is perfect and time machine runs great.
