When this comes steaming out of the microwave I realized what’s wrong with air popping – it dries the popcorn into a styrofoam-like state. With this little wonder you can add oil & salt (or other spices) and it comes out ready to eat. 60grams of corn seems to be about the max per batch before it starts to bake the kernels on top to a smoky brown. My wife actually likes it a little ‘burned.’ Go figyah! The image with a mound of popcorn poking out the top is advertising deception at its best. It realistically fills to about the midline of the top vertical portion.

I put in 3 TBS of kernels and got 5 cups of beautiful popcorn. Microwave was set on the popcorn setting, but I added another 25 seconds because it was still popping. Nothing burned and only about 3 or 4 kernels didn’t pop. I like the fact that I don’t have to use oil !!!

A quick soapy rinse and folding it back down is all that’s needed, unlike my Presto popper, which can’t be cleaned with water but requires paper towels to wipe down. Microwave popping needs more care with timing, as it could burn the batch if left in too long, while the stirring popper is more forgiving.

Collapsible for easy storage. Directions call for 1/4 cup popcorn, 1 teaspoon oil or butter & 1 teaspoon salt. In my experience, a little less than 1/4 cup popcorn to avoid a bunch of unpopped kernels, 3/4 teaspoon salt & butter or oil to taste (more than 1 teaspoon unless you are going to use spray butter or spray olive oil). I microwave for 2 minutes, 42 seconds. But you may have to experiment with your microwave. We love ours & have been making popcorn much more frequently since we got it!]]> Very handy! So much more convenient than dragging out the big popper and then having to clean all the different parts to it. This one is two pieces, cleans up really easily, and collapses back into the box for very easy storage. I haven’t had any problems with popcorn falling out while cooking or anything like that. It woks great!

The only con I have is that it does leave a bunch of kernels un-popped, even after several attempts with different cooking times, but i’m willing to live with that for the convenience and quick clean up this little bowl offers. I have popcorn just about every day now because this bowl makes it so easy!

My Dad made 3 bowls in succession (instead of eating ice cream, better for his health), and we all loved the low cal, tasty treat. The box displays instructions (1/4 cup popcorn, put the lid on, cook for 2 to 3 minutes depending on your microwave, cook on 50% power). Almost all the kernels popped, with no oil unless you want it crispier or want to add a flavor. It collapses easily and comes in a nice box. Highly recommended.

My old plastic popper always left a teaspoon or more. The popcorn is delicious and fluffy as expected. The device was a little warm when I first took it out of the oven, but it cooled down quickly. If you’re a popcorn lover, this is a great way to make a healthy snack to your liking.

We are trying to reduce the plastic we use/have in our life. This silicone microwave popcorn is great. 1/4 cup of seed in the silicone bowl, let the top rest on in the bowl, put it in the microwave for 2/5 minutes and viola! Perfectly popped pop corn. Yep, sometimes there are some seeds left, but there were seeds left in the air popper too. We have popcorn almost nightly now. It is a fast fat-free snack. Who wouldn’t want this?

Take the lid off carefully but quickly to keep the kernels light! Tried it once without coconut oil and Flavacol and it was surprisingly light and nice, but we prefer the movie theater dupe that you get with the other two ingredients added. Don’t use cold pressed or “virgin” coconut oil unless you want a coconutty flavor.
