I have bought several of these and given them as gifts. Everyone loves them including me! Buy the bright colours because they are easier to find in your kitchen cabinet than the dark ones are. My first one was a black one, and I very seldom use it because I can’t see it in the dark cabinet

This worked just as described; it takes the place of a lid and any boil overstays in the top that has a section that lifts up when the boil overreaches the spill stopper.

I’d seen it before in stores. I thought, “Whatever, how’s that supposed to work.” It was recommended on one of my favourite cooking podcasts, so I gave it a second consideration. I’ve owned good and bad stuff from Kuhn Rikon so I know when they get it right, they knock it out of the park. I bought it. It works. It works great. No more spillovers while cooking pasta. It is amazingly easy to clean; just run it under some hot water. Another great Kuhn-Rikon product.

My wife loves this item. She uses to use a wooden spoon but that is now in the past. She uses this anytime she can. Have not had it flow over or under the silicone.
