Our brand new and very expensive dishwasher had tines too short to hold up our dinner plates. Adding these silly looking things to the existing tines lengthened them to the point we can slide the rack in without every plate crashing forward. They are soft so they will not scratch and long and strong enough to support the plates. I’ve not used them for their intended purpose yet but am considering buying more. Who designs these dishwasher racks? I hope he has to live with his mistakes!
